The Ultimate Hunting Package Deal in Africa
The Ultimate Hunting Package Deal with Hunting in Africa
Your first ever African hunt must certainly be your best and most memorable out of country hunt. Come, Hunting in Africa with us and let us be there to make sure you not only have a great time, but also harvest some really good trophies.
If this is not your first African hunting safari we would like to welcome you back! Please let us know of any specific requests with regards to trophies you want to hunt this time, or any food- and health issues we need to take care of prior to your arrival.
There are some costs that we specifically exclude on your Africa hunting safari as we have no control over them: your taxidermy fees and shipping cost of the trophies back to your home. These two costs are settled directly with the taxidermist and the shipping company. As for the rest: what you see is what you pay.

If you bring along a non-hunting companion (observer), the cost we mentioned for that person includes all cost related to being with the hunter during the hunt. The observer will travel with us, share a room with you, eat the same food as us and enjoy all the benefits of being in camp with us. The observer is allowed to tag along during the hunt, or stay in camp to read a book.
Depending on your time of arrival we may suggest spending the night in the city of arrival. This is to minimise the risk associated with night driving and the threat domestic- and wild animals pose on the road. There is a minimum charge of $ 150-00 involved (2012) for the first night which includes dinner on arrival and breakfast the following morning.
For clarification purposes, the following is included in your Ultimate Hunt Package deal:

Your typical hunting day: Depending on the time of the year you can expect your wake-up call between 5 am and 5:30 am. At 6 am we have coffee and traditional rusks, toast and cereal to see us through until brunch which usually is between 11 am and 12 noon. Between the hotter hours of the day we rest up as most animals tend to bed down during that time.
We restart the hunt at roughly 2:30 pm and do not stop until last light when you can still see the cross hairs of your scope. We repeat the above until your departure day. Once back at base camp you have time to freshen up before joining everyone around the fire. This is where we discuss the events of the day, mistakes made and plan for the following day. Of course, mistakes made by the PH are severely punished! After dinner we have a few drinks before heading to bed.
This is how it is typically done but please do not be fooled into thinking that every day will be as easy as that. When we are tracking a wounded animal we seldom break for lunch. We have tracked wounded animals with flashlights until 9:30 pm in the past and we will do it again when the need arises.
Sometimes we take supplies along with us and stay out the whole day, preparing our own food in a dry river bed or in the shade of a tree somewhere. Our passion at Hunting in Africa is to have you hunt as much as possible in the limited time you are with us.
