Hunting Areas
Hunting in Africa – where the Africa sky is not the limit!
Hunting areas and concessions we operate on
In the following pages we look at the hunting concessions we hunt. We have been in the hunting business for 14 years now and have come to know the different regions rather well.
This gives you, the hunter, the full benefit of our experience so you have the opportunity to hunt above average trophy game animals on your hunt.
Hunting in Africa is a hunting company devoted to sustainable hunting not only in South Africa, Zimbabwe or Namibia, but to sustainable hunting the world over. This philosophy forces us to hunt a variety of different properties allowing animal populations to rehabilitate to levels where we feel comfortable hunting those regions again.
Moving to different and new hunting concessions gives us the advantage to know which concessions consistently yield better trophy quality animals for your dream Africa hunting safari.
We hunt the following areas
Limpopo – Formerly known as the Northern Transvaal
We have access to a number of superb hunting concessions that also have the Big 5 on them. The animals you are interested in hunting will determine on which one of the properties (totalling approximately 150 000 acres) we will hunt on.
Free State – Formerly known as the Orange Free State
The Free State has some specialized game animals that occur in larger numbers than anywhere else in the country. Game like the Vaal rhebuck, mountain reedbuck and black wildebeest (to name but a few) occur naturally in large numbers in the mountainous areas. Our concessions amount to almost 100 000 acres.
North West – Formerly part of the Transvaal, more specifically the North West Transvaal
The name refers to the geographical locality. Much of our dangerous game hunts take place in the North West where large numbers of these animals occur. Depending on your quarry it is advised to charter a flight in lieu of a full day’s drive. Our concessions amount to about 130 000 acres.
The Eastern Cape yields a variety of huntable animal species. Due to climate and geography the animals abound and many hunters have returned home with more than they thought possible. Hunting conditions can be challenging and weather conditions can fluctuate due to the proximity to the Indian Ocean. Our concessions are in the region of 80 000 acres.
