Hunting in the North West Province
Areas and hunting camps
The hunting camps will consist of luxurious single or double rooms. You will sleep in comfortable surroundings and have en-suite bathroom facilities. Laundry will be done on a daily basis and returned to your room before the end of the day. Considering every day is a happy hunting day it may happen that laundry only be delivered the following day as a result of bad laundry weather. Bad weather does not have to negatively impact on hunting though.
The North West Province was formerly part of the Transvaal Province until 1994. The name of the Province refers to it’s geographical location and has lost nothing of it’s abundant hunting opportunities and quality hunting concessions. The topography is as diverse as the abundance of game and game species. From lower lying mountains, to open plains and sandy semi-desert areas and a combination of all the previous, the North West Province offers plains game- as well as dangerous game hunting.
Some of the hunting concessions are remote and it is recommended to charter a two hour flight by light aircraft. Alternatively one can drive and see more of the local population and demography of the country. Be aware that the roads in some areas are unique in relation to international standards (translates to: full of potholes) and can add time on to general traveling time.
The North West Province shares an international boundary with Botswana and provincial boundaries with the Northern Cape, Free State, Gauteng (Place of Gold) and Limpopo.
Depending on the game you are interested in, you could find yourself hunting in the North West Province.
