Good morning all 

This is trusting all of you had/are busy having a wonderful Easter. It seems like Easter over here is fast becoming another reason for businesses to have special offers. Seemingly it is all for the wrong reasons with the Easter bunny and Easter eggs being the foremost intention, while we are forgetting what the real reason for Easter is.

From our side we hope you had a Blessed Easter and that we may never forget what Easter is about. To all fellow Christians the world over, happy Easter.

Dehan, my youngest son Chris’ best friend, is musically inclined and taught Chris how to play the guitar. Dehan’s father , Dewald, is a professional musician and recently had a video done of his singing with the local number 5 (Idols South Africa) competitor. Dewald von Solms and Peter West are making music under the name of Von West and have been invited to participate in the largest television music fest in the country. Here is a link to the video on YouTube. If you have a liking for their music they have just this past week launced their cd and I can have a signed copy sent to anyone who is interested. I am unsure about the cost but it will be market-related and you can order direct from them. You are welcome to watch the video on

Apart from Afrikaans, they also sing in English and Italian. 

We are currently busy with a new project for the website which will hopefully add some benefit. One of the hunters who hunted with us wrote a book on his hunting experiences and we aim to have it, with other items, permanently on display on the website. Similarly if anyone has something they want advertised you are welcome to contact us – if it is hunting-related (unless you are Chris’ best friend’s father!)  

We are looking forward to some good hunting during 2012.
